BlockPower seeks a Junior Developer to support and expand our tech platform in the run-up to and through the November 2022 general election**.** We use a custom tech platform to help organize and support Community Ambassadors as they engage their family members, friends, and neighbors to build political power, expand voter outreach and increase civic engagement.

  • A team-oriented, problem-solving mindset

How to apply

We’re excited to hear from you! Please email mark@blockpower.vote with any questions about the role, and when you’re ready to apply, please use this form to do so. We’ll need your LinkedIn (and/or a resume), your Github (if you’ve got one), and in lieu of a cover letter, a quick, rough video from you about your interest in joining us.

BIPOC candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. And also: research shows that while men often apply to jobs when they meet only 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalized folks tend only to apply when they check every box. So, if you think you have what it takes, even if you don't necessarily meet every single point on the job description, please still get in touch. We'd love to have a chat and see if you could be a great fit.

What happens next

After reviewing your application, we’ll get in touch for an interview and a (short!) coding test. If your application doesn’t look like a fit, we will email you to let you know. We will be accepting applications on a rolling basis and we are aiming to hire as soon as possible.
