The Democratic Governors Association (DGA), the campaign committee responsible for electing and supporting Democratic Governors, is seeking to fill the Senior Digital Strategist role within the Digital Department for the 2025 - 2026 election cycle. The position will report to the Digital Fundraising Director. The digital fundraising team is responsible for the DGA grassroots fundraising program across all channels, and coordinates with gubernatorial campaigns to support their online fundraising success.

The expected salary range for this position is $75,000 annually before benefits and applicable withholdings, but salary is commensurate with experience. Responsibilities
- Execution of the DGA grassroots fundraising program by means of email, SMS, online advertising, direct mail, telemarketing, and other channels – with the primary focus of this role on email and SMS;
- Write compelling copy for fundraising and engagement emails and SMS;
- Produce, checklist, and send email and SMS copy in CRM platforms, ensuring it is accurate and segmented correctly;
- Brainstorm innovative testing ideas and help lead our rigorous testing initiatives;Assist in maintaining tracking documents to ensure accurate testing and data reporting;
- Monitor digital communications of Democratic governors, candidates, and their Republican opponents;
- Support other special projects, assignments, and tasks in collaboration with DGA leadership and other DGA departments.
Qualifications
- Experience working as a part of successful, large-scale, online fundraising operations for Democratic political campaigns, political committees, and/or like-minded organizations;
- Program management experience related to the below areas, and 2+ cycles of work experience or equivalent;
- Experience with vendor communications for a client or organization;
- Experience writing email and SMS copy for a high-volume program, including rapid response;
- Experience managing an email and SMS calendar and designing messaging strategy;
- Experience producing emails, including segmenting and testing, in a CRM such as ActionKit or NGP;
- Acoustic experience is a plus;
- Experience producing broadcast SMS using Tatango, Switchboard, or a comparable platform.
