Time of Day Media is an Emmy & Writers Guild Award winning worker-owned digital agency based in Brooklyn, New York. We collaborate exclusively with social justice organizations, providing digital communications support on a range of campaigns. We’ve helped SEIU organize thousands of home care workers, we supported CWA in its victorious 2016 strike, and we worked with the Asian American Advocacy Fund to help turn Georgia Blue. We are a women and POC-owned worker cooperative, proud union members of the Writers Guild of America, and a certified Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise by the City of New York.

We are currently looking for a Lead Digital Strategist to manage digital campaigns out of our Brooklyn, NY office. The ideal candidate has at least five years experience in digital marketing/digital campaigning, a strong understanding of cross-platform digital strategy, and is an energetic creative partner who thrives in a collaborative work environment. They are also someone who is excited to be a worker-owner in a cooperative and is eager to grow a business. We strongly value work-life balance in our cooperative.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with co-workers and clients to develop and execute digital campaign strategy across multiple platforms often on a tight timeline including:
  • Paid & organic strategy for social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok etc.)
  • SMS, FB group & chat app based organizing (WhatsApp, Snapchat, Facebook messenger)
  • Search/contextual strategy for Google
  • Paid digital ads - direct buys, native ads, display ads, pre-roll/YouTube, OTT/OVR/streaming
  • Work with creative team to concept and produce original content for our campaigns
  • Produce analytics reports and recommendations for campaigns
  • Business and client development, including building out our digital services, writing proposals, and pitching new clients

Qualifications and Skills

  • Paid/Organic expertise in Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
  • Experienced with CRMs & advocacy platforms (Action Network, Phone2Action) and can execute back-end tasks such as managing pixels, source links, data flow
  • Experienced with SMS tools & chat apps
  • Some experience with TikTok nice but not required
  • Some experience with Google ads, Youtube ads/pre-roll, native ads, direct buys nice but not required
  • At least 5 years experience working on organizing campaigns (field and/or digital)
  • Experience concepting creative content for campaigns
  • Self-motivated, organized, receptive to feedback
  • Eager to learn new digital tools and apply to your work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in Spanish a big plus

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary range $75,000 - 80,000 (depending on hours worked)
