Description
About InReach

We are InReach, a trans-led tech nonprofit building the world’s first open source verified LGBTQ+ resource platform. InReach is available on web (desktop and mobile), native iOS, and Android. Our vision is to ensure every trans and queer person has on-demand access to the safe resources they need to thrive. Over 420,000 people have used InReach to access verified LGBTQ+ resources.

About the Role

As a Resource Intern, you’ll play a critical role in growing and maintaining the world’s first open source verified LGBTQ+ resource platform by conducting online research, engaging with direct service providers on-the-ground, and ensuring accurate data entry. As anti-LGBTQ+ laws and harmful rhetoric continues to increase, your work will help to connect:

  • LGBTQ+ families fleeing hostile states → to safe relocation assistance, mental health support for caregivers, and gender-affirming care.
  • LGBTQ+ young people experiencing isolation and housing insecurity → to safe housing, meal assistance, hygiene resources, drop-in centers, and affirming community support.
  • LGBTQ+ asylum seekers, refugees, and other immigrants → to verified affirming legal services, trauma-informed mental health care, and translation support.
  • TGNC people → to gender-affirming healthcare, support groups, legal aid, safe housing, and more.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in LGBTQ+ rights, trans and immigrant justice, and human rights work while helping expand the reach of a vital technology platform.
