InReach is a trans-led tech nonprofit building the world's first open source verified LGBTQ+ resource platform connecting LGBTQ+ people with safe, verified resources. Our mission is to ensure that every LGBTQ+ person—no matter who they are or where they live—has free, 24/7 access to affirming support.

Part of the 1 Million Lives by 2030 Campaign

*This is a remote and flexible opportunity that allows you to volunteer on your own schedule!

Grassroots Activators are the heart of InReach’s 50 State Activation and our ambitious 1 Million Lives by 2030 campaign. As a Grassroots Activator, you’ll help us expand the reach of safe, verified resources in your state. This is a low-barrier, high-impact volunteer opportunity—perfect for busy people who want to make a real difference in as little as 5-15 minutes per week.

• Identify Resources: Help us crowdsource LGBTQ+ affirming organizations in your state (healthcare, housing, legal aid, community centers, etc.).
• Leave Reviews: Share your feedback on local service providers listed on InReach by giving them a star rating (1–5) and writing a short review based on your personal experience.
• Spread Awareness: Share InReach with local providers, community groups, and online spaces so more people know safe help is available.
• Advocate for Safety: Be the eyes and ears on the ground—flagging resources that may no longer meet affirming standards.
• Collaborate: Join quarterly virtual meetups with other Activators to share updates, success stories, and feedback.

• Passionate about LGBTQ+ equality and access to safe help
• Detail-oriented and reliable—follow-through matters when lives are on the line
• Comfortable using online tools (training provided)
• Based in the U.S. (or deeply connected to a U.S. community)
