Description
Mission: Ship reliable ingestion and data plumbing so analyses are trustworthy at scale.
You will:
- Build/harden collectors (Reddit/X/YouTube): retries, backoff, idempotent writes, DLQ.
- Own queue/scheduler (Redis Streams): consumer groups, lag/auto-reclaim, replay tools, runbooks.
- Design Postgres schemas (LTREE threads, temporal partitions; staging → canonical ETL).
- Expose admin/analyst surfaces: FastAPI endpoints, read-only SQL views, CSV/Parquet exports.
- Instrument everything: Prometheus metrics, Grafana dashboards, alerts on lag/error spikes.
- Enforce privacy/security: redaction/hashing, role-scoped access, secrets hygiene.
- Make CI bite: lint/type/unit tests block merges; deterministic fixtures; migration smoke tests.
- Must-have: 2–4+ yrs Python (async/FastAPI), strong SQL/Postgres, real queueing/DLQ patterns, shipped services with metrics/alerts, CI fluency.
- Nice: Supabase/pgBouncer, Cloudflare Access, scraping ergonomics, pyright/mypy, ruff, pytest-asyncio, Parquet/object storage.
- Success looks like: p95 ingest→snapshot latency within target; zero data-loss on single-node failure; analysts self-serve snapshots/exports.
