ABOUT THE STRATEGIC CAMPAIGNS & SOCIAL IMPACT AND INVESTING TEAM

The Social Impact and Investing team within Strategic Campaigns works with nonprofits, foundations, impact investors, analysts and others focused on building a more inclusive, sustainable and equitable financial system. We help workers and activists hold some of the largest, most powerful corporations accountable, support initiatives to increase access to finance and catalyze investment in marginalized communities around the world and advise responsible investors on how to navigate the rapidly evolving world of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG). Our work focuses on supporting those who harness the tools of finance and economic policy to improve the lives of individuals and communities, and ultimately build a better and more equitable global economic system.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

BerlinRosen is seeking a Vice President to help drive our growing work at the intersections of social impact and investing. We pride ourselves on being storytellers, campaigners and organizers skilled at helping our clients tell their stories, get heard and make a difference for a better world.

This position provides a unique opportunity to lead and manage a talented and growing team working with high-profile national organizations, individuals and campaigns.

Role location: Ideally, candidates will be based in our New York, N.Y. office, though can also be based in our Washington, D.C. office, on a hybrid basis. The Strategic Campaigns team is in-office 2 days per week. Proof of vaccination is required to work in any of BerlinRosen’s offices.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

As a Vice President on the Strategic Campaigns team, you will…

  • Lead projects and collaborate with colleagues to advance the communications strategy for multiple high-profile client accounts
  • Drive day-to-day work and overall strategic conversations with clients
  • Ensure we deliver quality client work
  • Implement integrated campaigns that leverage media and digital tactics to reach key audiences and achieve client goals
  • Engage and maintain strong relationships with key reporters covering racial and economic justice, business and finance, and economic and financial policy
  • Write and edit persuasive external and internal documents such as press releases, op-eds, fact sheets, talking points, editorial board memos and communications plans

Essential skills:

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in strategic communications or media relations
  • Strong news sense and knowledge of the media, particularly around social justice, business and finance
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Can multi-task easily with the ability to handle multiple assignments at once, work quickly and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while paying close attention to details
  • Understands the intersection of finance systems, sustainability, equity and social justice

WORKING AT BERLINROSEN

Compensation philosophy: BerlinRosen offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.

The salary range for this role is commensurate with experience and is as follows:

  • Starting minimum: $130,000
  • Role cap: $170,000

Vice Presidents are eligible for end of year bonuses based on firm, team and individual performance.
