Creative Production Manager- Cycle Position

We are hiring a Creative Production Manager to help support our award-winning creative team during the 2024 election season. This is a cycle position that will run through November 30th 2024.

While our team produces a wide array of work, we focus heavily on producing TV and digital ads. The Creative Production Manager will play an integral part in project managing all aspects of our work: planning, pre-production, shooting video, and post-production. You will provide the foundation for our creative team so that we can produce the best work possible.

Your job would be to keep the trains running smoothly today while getting everything in place so that the trains run smoothly tomorrow too.

The person in this role will report to and work directly with the Vice President of Creative.

As a part of our team, you would:

  • In collaboration with the Vice President of Creative, create and maintain production timelines for each project

  • Take the lead on planning and coordinating our creative projects, ensuring that we meet our deadlines and that there is frequent communication between our creative, account services, and development teams.

  • Ensure that our video editors and graphic designers have all the project assets they need to work efficiently.

  • Follow up internally to ensure that products are reviewed in a timely manner and that feedback is conveyed to the creative team

  • Synthesize conversations with the accounts team and/or the client into clear requirements or edits for our designers and editors.

  • Coordinate and manage freelancers and external vendors.

  • Provide quality assurance by reviewing creative products and ensuring that client or accounts team edits have been made. Double-checking spelling.

  • Communicate with the accounts team and/or client about timelines, requirements, progress, approvals, and client assets that are required

  • Track the team’s time spent on projects when needed.

  • Help prepare proposals and pitch decks for new creative projects

You’d be a great fit if you have/are:

  • 1-2 years of experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

    • Experience managing creative projects is a plus but not required

  • Detail oriented, very organized, and have the ability to think two steps ahead

  • Process-oriented; how can we be more efficient? How do we improve quality control? How do we increase the quality of our ads?

  • Flexible and able to recalibrate as circumstances change

  • Able to take the initiative and work independently

  • Calm under pressure

  • Clear and concise oral and written communication skills

  • Experience working with clients, writing proposals, etc.

  • Attention to detail

  • Willingness to put in that extra time and effort: sometimes, we have to work longer days or on weekends, especially during campaign seasons. The goal of this role is to minimize when this happens.

Extra bonus points if you have:

  • Experience as a project manager for video projects

  • Familiarity with elections and politics

  • Copy-writing and communications experience

  • Experience in a creative field - do you have a good eye?

  • Beginner to intermediate skills with Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop so you can make small edits

  • Experience or interest in business development

  • Experience in a client-facing role

Salary & Benefits

The base salary band for this position is $60,000 per year. To counter pay inequality and uphold internal parity, salaries are non-negotiable.
