Summary
The Senior Vice President of Business Operations (“SVPBO”) at Capital Good Fund will ensure the organization’s operational strategies to drive efficiency, growth, and excellence. This role requires a strategic leader who will work closely with the executive team to develop and implement operational plans, optimize processes, and ensure the effective execution of the organization’s strategic plan. Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and driving initiatives to enhance organizational performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of operational management, and a commitment to advancing Capital Good Fund’s mission to create pathways out of poverty and advance a green economy through inclusive financial services.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be included as assigned.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

- Collaborate with executive leadership to set and monitor performance metrics and drive operational improvements based on the organization's strategic plan
- Manage and mentor the operations team
- Define operational excellence through structure and processes while creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Ensure business practices meet Capital Good Fund goals, mission, and strategic plan
- Lead all process improvement efforts across the organization
- Direct oversight of loan/leasing production teams with a focus on quality control
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies
- Work closely with Human Resources to implement and refine company policies and procedures (P&P)
- Implement Department P&P and act as subject matter expert for additional P&P needs
- Ensure the execution of P&P and SOPs
- Monitor department performance against KPIs to identify efficiency issues and propose solutions proactively
- Coach team members on KPI creation
- Work with project manager, Chief Business Officer, and Accounting to ensure projects and new initiatives stay within budget and are completed on time
- Clear and effective communication with both leadership and team members
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in operations
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and initiatives with a focus on impact and efficiency
- Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of business principles
- Analytical problem-solving skills
- Budget management
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and set expectations both up and down
- Passion for the mission of Capital Good Fund and a commitment to social impact
- Proficiency in Google Suite
- Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) experience
- Non-profit leadership experience
- Program or project management experience
