About Solar For All

Capital Good Fund has been awarded a $156 million Solar for All grant under the EPA’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund to bring the benefits of solar to thousands of low-income and disadvantaged Georgians over the next five years. Over the next 5 years, Good Fund seeks experienced staff to support and to serve as subject matter experts on federal grant compliance, develop standards and processes, and train staff, subrecipients, and contractors on various requirements and procedures relative to the grant. This position is contingent upon contract award and grant funding.

Summary:

The Senior Investments Manager will support Capital Good Fund's EPA Solar for All award in Georgia by raising private debt capital, totaling approximately $66 million in bridge capital and $70 million in long-term debt to leverage grant funding. This role will work closely with the Senior VP of Investor Relations to raise capital, structure and manage investments, oversee reporting required by creditors, and support relationship management. The role will also be responsible for maintaining internal tracking systems, such as Salesforce and Monday.com, to ensure on-time deliverables and thorough follow-up with investors. This position plays a critical role in maintaining strong relationships with investors and ensuring smooth financial operations for the program and is an opportunity to play an important role in increasing the reach of Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund money for expanded reach and impact in the State of Georgia. The role also provides a unique opportunity to support collaborating with other GGRF grantees to create sustainable investment structures to further clean energy amongst low-income communities.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be included as assigned:

Support in creditor diligence:

  • Create data rooms and document sharing
  • Compile and provide documents as required by creditors, including financials, organizational documents, internal manuals/policies, data or impact reports, and any other materials required by investors to diligence potential investments
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to align creditor impact goals with impact outcomes
  • Support in communicating with other GGRF awardees to coordinate efforts, pool resources, and establish effective investment structures to align programmatic debt needs with creditor interests

Support in managing new leads and outreach:

  • Organize internal documentation related to outreach and communications for new leads
  • Update internal systems related to lead tracking, such as Salesforce, Monday.com, and internal tracking documents
  • Research new potential leads to identify alignment
  • Support in the creation of summary and outreach materials

Lead debt-related reporting:

  • Track deadlines and requirements for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including financial reporting, impact reporting, and other reporting required by creditors
  • Maintain internal systems, processes, and documentation related to reporting
  • Ensure organization and documentation of all reporting provided to creditors
  • Support and inform proper data systems are in place to collect all impact data required to be included in reporting, and proper workflows are implemented to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data
  • Support in facilitating information required to report on debt as required under EPA’s Solar for All award

Investment processing:

  • Process, file, organize, and track documentation for each investment
  • Ensure proper updates to internal systems, such as Salesforce, Monday.com, etc
  • Suggest improvements to ensure more efficient and accurate internal procedures for processing creditor payments
  • Track and manage investment maturity and plan for repayment or engage with investors on potential rollover

Investor communications:

  • Manage all communications and correspondence and provide general customer service to Solar for All Investors
  • This could include webinars, calls, emails, newsletters, or other general communications

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in investor relations, financial services, or related field
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with CRM software, preferably Salesforce
  • Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of financial reporting and investment management principles
  • Knowledge of data privacy and security practices related to financial information

Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Experience with similar solar energy or renewable energy financing programs
  • Familiarity with impact investing and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reporting
  • Knowledge of CDFI (Community Development Financial Institution) operations and reporting
  • Experience in creating financial models and data visualizations
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance related to private debt offerings
  • Proficiency in data analysis and business intelligence tools
  • Certification in investor relations or financial analysis (e.g., CFA, CIRA)

Training, And Compensation

The Sr Investments Manager will receive extensive training on all of Capital Good Fund products, processes, customer relationship management software, workflow expectations, customer service best practices, and all that is needed to succeed in the Sr. Investments Manager role.

This is a full time forty hour-per-week position. The Sr. Investments Manager will earn an annual salary of $90,000.00-$110,000.00 commensurate with experience.
