About Solar For All
Capital Good Fund has been awarded a $156 million Solar for All grant under the EPA’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund to bring the benefits of solar to thousands of low-income and disadvantaged Georgians over the next five years. Over the next 5 years, Good Fund seeks experienced staff to support and to serve as subject matter experts on federal grant compliance, develop standards and processes, and train staff, subrecipients, and contractors on various requirements and procedures relative to the grant. This position is contingent upon contract award and grant funding.
Position Summary
The Solar for All EPC Manager will serve as the primary liaison between Capital Good Fund and EPCs participating in the Georgia Solar for All program. As the in-house subject matter expert on solar design and installation, the EPC Manager will play a key role in program development, ensuring participants benefit from quality system design and workmanship, accurate savings projections, timely system maintenance, and good customer service. In addition to technical responsibilities, the EPC will serve as a program manager, supporting EPC vetting, collecting and reviewing invoices, and leading EPC onboarding and training.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:
- Serve as technical advisor to Good Fund on the Solar for All program, to include making recommendations for EPC training, solar design software, solar design standards and guidelines, and equipment
- Support the development of RFP processes to select EPCs for the program
- Vet EPCs that participate in the RFP process, specifically in terms of their technical knowledge and capabilities
- Lead EPC onboarding and training
- In partnership with an outside consultant, establish a robust QA/QC program
- Create a system for documenting all applicable equipment warranties and supporting documentation
- Collaborate with Servicing to establish a robust O&M program
- Collect and review system designs, invoices, milestone photos, and other documentation from EPCs for compliance with contractual requirements and program standards
- Collaborate with selected Permitting and Interconnection Technical Assistance providers to identify and act on opportunities to reduce permitting and interconnection barriers and costs
- Serve as the first point of contact for EPC questions, feedback, and complaints
- Minimum 3 years experience designing, installing, commissioning, and maintaining behind the meter solar generation systems
- NABCEP Photovoltaic Installation Professional (PVIP) Certification
- Experience managing other contractors (e.g., as an EPC working with a subcontracted installation crew or electrician)
- Deep knowledge of Georgia’s energy policies, utility tariffs, building and electrical codes, and permitting and interconnection procedures, or the willingness and ability to learn quickly
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Passion for making solar accessible to all people, regardless of income, ownership status, or housing type
- 5-10 years of experience designing, installing, commissioning, and maintaining behind the meter solar generation systems
- Manufacturer-specific certifications (Enphase, Iron Ridge, etc.)
- $68,000 - $78,000 annually, commensurate with experience
