SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Vice President of Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist provides professional coordination, recruitment, benefits assistance, unemployment and workers compensation administration, records management, and other duties as indicated by the VP of Human Resources.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(include, but are not limited to):
Performs other duties as assigned by the VP of Human Resources.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelors Degree in a relevant field and one (2) years of continuous professional human resource experience; or High School Diploma or equivalent and four (4) years of continuous professional human resource experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Must possess knowledge of and possess the ability to apply human resource theory.
Must possess the ability to operate word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Must possess effective communication skills.
Must possess knowledge of principles of project management.
Must possess knowledge of records management.
Must possess the ability to conduct research and compile reports.
Must possess the ability to implement policies and procedures.
Must maintain a high level of confidentiality, conflict resolution, and strategic thinking.
Training And Compensation
The Human Resources Generalist will receive extensive training on all SFA products, services, policies, procedures, and technology.
The salary range for this position will be salary of $55,00-$65,000 commensurate with experience.
In addition, the Human Resources Generalist will receive a competitive benefits package that 401(k) plan with a dollar-for-dollar employer match up to 4% of employees gross earnings, medical insurance with a $500/month employer subsidy, dental insurance fully covered by employer for routine dental care, 5 paid personal days per benefit year, 15 vacation days in the first year on staff, and the opportunity to apply for personal loans of up to $2,000 at 0% interest. Over the next 5 years, Good Fund seeks experienced staff to support and to serve as subject matter experts on federal grant compliance, develop standards and processes, and train staff, subrecipients, and contractors on various requirements and procedures relative to the grant.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(include, but are not limited to):
- Implements a planning system that supports the effective delivery of human resource services to all employees of Capital Good Fund through our Solar For All Grant initiative
- Assists the Vice President of Human Resources in the consistent application of personnel policies, procedures, rules and regulations within existing legal and regulatory requirements
- Under the direction of the Vice President of Human Resources, coordinates employee recruitment and selection process including advertisement coordination, reviewing and screening applications and resumes, reviewing employment recommendations and reviewing salary offers, and, for those positions actively recruited under Capital Good Fund’s Solar For All and Georgia Bright program.
- Conducts employee and potential employee reference/background verifications
- Coordinates and monitors the Time and Attendance tracking, Time off, and leave functions while reviewing and approving bi-monthly employee timesheets
- Assists the Vice President of Human Resources in the development and delivery of training modules
- Coordinates benefits administration to include delivery of technical assistance to managers and employees
- Conducts new employee onboarding
- Maintains employee records
