Capital Good Fund has been awarded a $156 million Solar for All (SFA) grant under the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund to bring the benefits of solar to thousands of low-income and disadvantaged Georgians over the next five years. This position is contingent upon contract award and grant funding.

Senior Data and Reporting Manager (SFA) - Position Overview:

The Senior Data and Reporting Manager is a leadership role focused on the quantitative reporting and data management requirements of the SFA program. This position is responsible for collaborating across departments to ensure the complete and timely collection, quality assurance, and reporting of information as required for semi-annual transaction- and project-level reporting.

The semi--annual transaction- and project-level report requires Good Fund to report on every solar project that is deployed and every financial assistance and technical assistance transaction that is made during the reporting period. Each project requires a variety of data fields describing the project location, project details, and the benefits that it delivers to households and communities. Similarly, each transaction must include a variety of details about the financial assistance type, the counterparty, the transaction size, and the transaction purpose. To successfully complete this report, all required data must be collected in the correct format, quality assured, stored, and extracted accurately into the Appendix D reporting template, which can be viewed here.

This role requires experience in quantitative reporting, cross-departmental collaboration (especially with accounting, operations, and IT), and the development of robust data collection and quality assurance processes for both internal and external data sources. Experience with financial reporting and/or data analytics is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

Quantitative Grant Reporting

  • Prepare and submit semi-annual transaction- and project--level (TPL) reports in compliance with EPA requirements
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to other team members, subrecipients, and contractors on the reporting requirements for TPL reports, ensuring that all necessary data is being collected in the required format
  • Collaborate with the IT and outside consulting teams to design and implement data validation checks, dashboards, and alerts to flag discrepancies, missing data fields, or other errors
  • Work closely with operations teams to address any discrepancies before report submission

Continuous Improvement & Stakeholder Communication

  • Initiate, design, and optimize internal and external reporting workflows, with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
  • Monitor current practices and implement best practices to enhance data collection, reporting, and compliance processes
  • Serve as the main point of contact with the EPA for all quantitative and transaction-level reporting matters
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on reporting status, data quality, performance outcomes, and grant deliverables

Cross-Departmental Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Development team and the Accounting, Operations, and IT departments to coordinate data flows, reporting requirements, and process improvements
  • Facilitate regular cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment and timely completion of reporting deliverables

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of quantitative reporting experience is required, including at least 1 year in a lead reporting or compliance role
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments, particularly with Accounting, Operations, and IT teams
  • Experience using data visualization tools like PowerBI and/or Tableau
  • Experience developing and implementing data quality assurance processes for big data environments
  • Experience designing, managing, and refining workflows for external data collection from subrecipients, contractors, vendors, suppliers, or similar stakeholders
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Monday.com), data analysis tools, and reporting software

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with quantitative reporting in a high-stakes context; for example, reporting to a regulator, federal government agency, certifying body, or investors/shareholders
  • Experience with financial reporting, particularly for a federal grant
  • Experience with data analysis, data validation, and/or data cleaning
  • Working knowledge of solar terminology, or the willingness and ability to learn quickly

Training, and Compensation

The Senior Data and Reporting Manager will receive extensive training on all of Capital Good Fund products, processes, customer relationship management software, workflow expectations, and customer service best practices.

This is a full-time forty-hour-per-week position. The Senior Data and Reporting Manager will earn an annual salary of $100,000-$110,000 commensurate with experience.
