The Team
The IT/AV Engineer will oversee and manage all aspects of our AV program, including managing our live events, evaluating and implementing new technology and maintaining conference room AV systems. This role will require this individual to collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and third party vendors when needed. This role requires someone who works well with a team and can stay calm under pressure.
The Opportunity
Join our team as an AV Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting live events. You'll be responsible for designing, setting up, and maintaining AV systems throughout our offices to ensure seamless employee meeting experiences. This opportunity combines technical expertise with hands-on problem solving in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. What You'll Do
- Oversee the AV needs of live corporate events, work with our event coordinators to build a program and plan for both participants and support teams to follow
- Maintain our Conference room AV systems by conducting regular maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Provide expert-level support for AV systems, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly.
- Lead the design, installation, and configuration of AV systems throughout our offices. This will include our multi-use space, video conferencing systems, digital signage, sound systems, and other related equipment.
- Develop and maintain AV standards, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and company requirements.
- Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality AV solutions.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, user guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Evaluate new AV products and technologies, conduct pilot tests and provide recommendations for adoption.
What You'll Bring
- Experience working in a fast paced environment, preferably within a technical organization
- Comfortable taking on additional job responsibilities as needed, demonstrated willingness to get involved in the details to achieve the team's end goals
- Excellent communication skills; able to build working relationships with core and cross-functional teams
- Experience with the build out and set up of conference room AV systems
- Familiarity with video conference technology used in meeting rooms
- Hands-on experience in managing Live and Remote company events
- Ability to discuss collaboration technology with technical and non-technical staff members
- Experience working in a ticketing system
Compensation
The Redwood City, CA base pay range for this role is $89,000 - $134,000. New hires are typically hired into the lower portion of the range, enabling employee growth in the range over time. Actual placement in range is based on job-related skills and experience, as evaluated throughout the interview process. Pay ranges outside Redwood City are adjusted based on cost of labor in each respective geographical market.
