Embold Research is the non-partisan business unit of Change Research, focused on helping public, private, and nonprofit entities improve the communities they serve. As a Public Benefit Corporation, we seek to make the world more humane, scientific, and just; as a technology company, we seek to innovate and re-define what it means to measure public opinion. .
Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Analyst who combines deep expertise in public opinion research with a strong entrepreneurial drive. This role is ideal for an experienced researcher who is adept at leading strategic research projects end-to-end and managing client relationships, and who is excited to use Embold Research’s innovative, tech-powered tools to deliver fast, scalable, and impactful insights. You will report to the Principal Researcher of Embold.
Our ideal candidate will be able to independently lead complex survey research and build subject-matter expertise across the sectors in which we work. You excel at designing and executing high-quality research projects, interpreting data in context, and providing strategic insights and recommendations that go beyond simply reporting the numbers. With strong client leadership and team mentorship, you will collaborate across teams, serve as a company thought leader and reinforce the company’s mission to deliver accessible, impactful public opinion research, helping clients turn data into decisions at speed and scale.
Core Responsibilities:
-
Lead Client Research Projects: Own end-to-end execution of research projects of varied complexity, including survey and sample design, fielding, weighting, analysis, client relationship management, and delivery of actionable insights. You will have the opportunity to manage and lead projects from inception via inbound sales.
-
Act as a Trusted Advisor: Guide strategic communications with clients, identifying and delivering data-driven recommendations that address client challenges.
-
Shape Embold Research’s Brand and Evolution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine methodologies, improve internal tools, and identify opportunities for new products and service offerings. Be a voice of the company as a thought leader.
-
Innovate with AI & Technology: Embrace and champion new approaches—particularly the use of AI and advanced analytics—to improve speed, efficiency, and scale of research delivery.
-
Mentor & Elevate Team Members: Support and coach junior team members, strengthening organizational capacity while modeling excellence and speed.
About you:
-
Experienced: You have 5+ years experience in public opinion research, market research, or adjacent fields, and a proven track record of leading high-profile projects and delivering strategic insights.
- Please note: While this position is posted at the Senior Analyst level requiring 5+ years of experience, we will also consider outstanding candidates with 3+ years of experience at the level of Analyst. The appropriate level will be determined during the interview process based on your experience and qualifications.
-
Detail-oriented while staying focused on the big picture: You have a keen grasp of the details of survey methods and research execution, but you don’t lose the forest for the trees.
-
Relationship-Oriented: You are a skilled communicator who builds and maintains trusted client relationships.
-
Efficient: You balance speed and precision, and are able to move forward multiple projects with tight timelines.
-
Connected: Ideally, you have experience – and established client relationships – in one or more of the following sectors: clean energy, education, news and media, market research, natural disaster response, or community needs (such as housing, healthcare, and food security).
-
Entrepreneurial: You bring energy and enthusiasm to build a young business unit and establish Embold Research’s expertise in new markets.
-
Tech-Forward: You are eager to experiment with AI, product development, and other innovations to scale research without sacrificing rigor.
-
Mentorship-Minded: You are invested in developing colleagues’ skills and contributing to a collaborative, solutions-oriented culture.
