Responsibilities

  • Build systems for streamlined and impactful partnerships with new media brands and content creators that drive the conversation on climate, clean energy, extreme weather, pollution, and political accountability.
  • Turn research and legislation into streamlined, digestible briefing materials and assets for digital-first brands and partners. (Not your traditional press releases or pitches!)
  • Foster relationships, ideate on opportunities for engagement, operationalize consistent and tailored communication, develop plans for long-term activation and message consistency, and hone messages and pitches for the right partners in the right moments.
  • Maintaining cross-departmental internal campaign collaboration and planning – managing incoming requests, offering strategic insights, collaborating on brand best-fits, and identifying opportunities for growth.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed and capacity dictates.

Essential Qualifications

  • 5 years of relevant prior work experience in partnerships, digital communications, or social media strategy, including program and/or project management experience with a digital, communications, media, or political emphasis (or a combination of any!!)
  • Experience or intuitive understanding of audiences on social media and digital platforms, from TikTok to YouTube, and Substack to Reddit;
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, often with competing timelines, solving complex problems in an innovative, effective, and timely manner, often across different teams.
  • Experience managing or contributing to large-scale campaigns, including knowledge of budgeting and negotiation tactics, and pitching/planning messaging strategies
  • Ability to build relationships with wide-ranging external and external collaborators – whether it be content creators, media outlets, digital partners, and influencer networks across interest areas and platforms to move hearts and minds in the fight against climate change.

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with social media performance metrics and analytics across platforms, as well as best practices.
  • A positive team player with a passion for progressive change.
  • Excels in collaboration with co-workers, consultants, and vendors to produce effective strategies, meet deadlines, and reach goals
  • Ability to communicate complicated ideas in simple terms; excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with an eagle eye for typos and errors.

If you do not meet all of the requirements and believe you are a good fit, we encourage you to apply, but be sure to uplift all experience that aligns with both our essential and desired qualifications.
