Catering and Business Operations Manager

About the Opportunity
This position will assist with total catering operations to include booking events, supervising support staff, and maintaining communication with both the client and the team throughout the event process. This position is responsible for department accounts payable in coordination with accounting staff and other necessary parties.
We are located on the banks of the Arkansas River at the intersection of Little Rock’s River Market District and the emerging East Village in the heart of downtown. The Clinton Center features permanent exhibitions that chronicle American history at the turn of the 21st century, engaging and family-friendly special exhibitions, 30-acres of public park, an award-winning on-site restaurant, and museum store with a selection of unique memorabilia and gifts.
- Responsible for accounts payable and communication between the accounting staff, client, and internal office staff. Responsible for accounts receivable of their clients.
- Assists with catering forecasts and developing plans for achievement.
- Maintains effective client relations at all levels.
- Seeks opportunities to implement new products, procedures, and services to enhance the catering operation and client recruitment/retention.
- Keeps abreast of and advises clients and staff on catering trends and products.
- Solicits events via direct telephone calls, site tours and other means as necessary.
- Assists in maintaining database of events and other calendar management tools.
- Assist in the restaurant and catering events.
Minimum Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years of professional experience in administrative, finance, or business in positions of increasing responsibility
- Proficient with all Microsoft programs, Command of Compeat Advantage and Caterease software preferred, Working knowledge of Aloha and other POS systems.
- Contract management, filing and systems management skills are required. P&L accountability experience is preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years banquet or operations management; hospitality industry experience
Compensation & Benefits
- Our best estimate of the compensation range for this opportunity is $50K annually. This range is based on Little Rock market rates.
