The Opportunity

We are seeking a Director of Business Development - Medicaid Health Plans to drive sales and adoption by health plans.

You will lead strategy and execution for expanding adoption of technology solutions that help Medicaid Health Plans reduce member churn, stay in compliance, and minimize staff administrative burden.

You must have past experience selling to Medicaid Health Plans, along with consultative problem-solving and relationship management skills.

This is a highly cross-functional role partnering closely with the CEO, Product, Engineering, Customer Success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy and execution to expand sales to the Medicaid Health Plans.
  • Identify, qualify, and drive opportunities from first conversation to demos and to negotiating deals.
  • Present solutions, demo solutions, and customize proposals.
  • Respond to RFPs and ensure proposals accurately reflect product capabilities and future roadmap.
  • Work closely with Customer Success on scoping, renewals, expansions, and handoff from BD → Implementation.
  • Represent CCX at conferences
  • Build competitive insights and inform product positioning.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience working in or selling to Health Plans
  • 3+ years in business development, sales, partnership management, or consulting.
  • Experience leading complex sales cycles and procurement processes.
  • Ability to translate policy, operations, and eligibility processes into technology solutions.
  • Strong writing skills for proposals, SOWs, one-pagers, and presentations.
  • Experience collaborating with product, engineering, or technical teams.
  • Comfort navigating fast-paced, mission-driven environments.
