Jewish Institutions and Climate Campaigning Fellow

Dayenu: A Jewish Call to Climate Action

Dayenu: A Jewish Call to Climate Action

Posted on Tuesday, June 6, 2023

For the fourth year in a row, Dayenu: A Jewish Call to Climate Action is hosting Clergy Student Fellows to build the Jewish climate movement and to provide spiritually meaningful opportunities to Jewish Americans who are wrestling with and wanting to make an impact on the climate crisis.

The 2023-2024 Jewish Institutions Climate Campaigning Fellowship focuses primarily on educating and supporting Jewish institutions to participate in Jewishly-rooted, strategic campaigns and programs to address the climate crisis– and aiding Dayenu Circles and Dayenu leaders to be effective partners in this work. This position furthers the Dayenu’s All Our Might campaign to end the era of fossil fuels and build a clean energy future, by supporting Jewish institutions to move their investments from polluting fossil fuels to clean, renewable energy. Other projects could include research and campaign development for Dayenu’s Chutzpah 2024 nonpartisan climate get-out-the-vote campaign and a to-be-determined campaign, as well as engagement in state and federal policy advocacy.

Position starts September 5, 2023 and ends May 31, 2024 (38 weeks), with a commitment of 8 hours per week on average. Stipend is $10,000, which is $33/hour.

The position is remote, with the option to work at the Dayenu office at 475 Riverside Drive, Suite 1800, New York, New York. This position reports to and works closely with Dayenu’s Director of Campaigns and Partnerships, who is based in Washington, DC, but regularly travels to NYC. Fellows will receive mentoring, training and supervision from staff at Dayenu as well as support from a fellowship cohort.
