Dayenu: A Jewish Call to Climate Action is seeking a Digital Communications Intern to help build a spiritually rooted Jewish climate movement through digital communications.

The central responsibilities of the role are to execute creative strategies to engage, cultivate, and grow Dayenu’s audiences across all digital platforms, with a heavy emphasis on developing video assets to build out new channels (especially TikTok).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop short-form videos for sharing on social media platforms
  • Develop and execute plan to establish Dayenu’s presence on TikTok
  • Work with communications team to develop a steady stream of professional, strategic, and engaging posts on all social media platforms
  • Track and engage with our social media audience
  • Help cultivate Dayenu’s unique voice in the Jewish community, the climate justice movement, and beyond

Qualifications:

  • Experience developing digital assets such as social media graphics, social media toolkits, and especially short-form vertical videos
  • Basic video editing skills
  • Experience managing or creating social media content for popular social media platforms (Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn)
  • Experience as staff or volunteer leader in political work, organizing, and/or campaigns
  • Excitement about learning new digital tools and sharpening skills in existing tools
  • A track record of working with people across lines of difference, engaging with diverse communities, and a commitment to anti-racist practice
  • Enthusiasm for working closely with a small, spirited team in a start-up organization
  • Previous work or volunteer leadership on climate justice and/or in Jewish community a plus
  • Knowledge of Jewish community, tradition, and culture helpful but not required

Compensation: Total stipend for 20 weeks is $3200 (roughly $20 per hour, 8 hours per week).
