The Democratic Governors Association (DGA), the campaign committee responsible for electing and supporting Democratic governors, is seeking a Corporate Finance Assistant for the 2025-2026 election cycle. The Corporate Finance Assistant will play an integral role in growing and supporting the DGA corporate fundraising team by executing fundraising tasks, maintaining corporate membership lists and member management programs, managing projects like call sheets and briefings, fundraising research, and other administrative tasks. This position interacts with all members of the DGA fundraising team as well as the DGA compliance and executive departments. The position will report to the National Finance Director and Corporate Relations Director and assist in the day-to-day operations of the corporate finance department. The salary for this position is set at $60,000 annually.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation for and on-site management of DGA policy conferences and events;
  • Manage call time preparation for governors;
  • Prepare and process invoices and contribution materials;
  • Prepare briefing materials;
  • Prepare and distribute regular communications to DGA member organizations;
  • Assist in fundraising and member management;
  • Contribute to the production of DGA finance materials;
  • Maintain donor management databases;
  • Assist in ongoing donor research projects;
  • Assist with other assignments and tasks as requested by members of the finance team;

Qualifications

  • At least one election cycle of work experience preferred, ideally political fundraising experience;
  • Extraordinary attention to detail;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Willingness to work long hours and travel frequently, including occasional weekends;
  • A strong capacity to work both independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines;
  • Familiarity with NGP is preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated interest in politics and a strong commitment to advancing the principles and goals of the nation’s Democratic governors.

This position is based in Washington, DC. The Corporate Finance Assistant is a hybrid work schedule, requiring work from the office at the supervisor’s discretion as well as frequent travel.
