The Deputy Midwest Finance Director assists the Midwest Finance Director in overseeing the major donor fundraising efforts for the midwest region, including Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. The Deputy Midwest Finance Director works closely with the Midwest Finance Director in creating and implementing a region-specific finance plan, supporting the execution of principal and surrogate travel, and fundraising events. The Deputy Midwest Finance Director is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with the top donors in their region.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Identifying hosts and executing in-person and virtual fundraising and engagement events with principals and surrogates in the Midwest region.
- Providing support for the execution of travel in the region including scheduling donor meetings and creating briefing memos.
- Assisting the Midwest Finance Director in maintaining donor relationships.
- Performing research to identify prospective new major donors and raisers and working to re-engage lapsed donors.
- Creating and managing a tracking system for all donors.
- Creating and managing a finance email program to keep major donors informed and engaged.
- Providing support to the Midwest Finance Director as needed.
Skills:
- Detail-oriented.
- Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Political campaign experience.
- Strong and engaging interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
- 3-4 years of related work experience.
- Detail oriented and proficient in Excel and Google Suite.
- Working knowledge of NGP database preferred.
- Experience working on campaign or political committee fundraising teams for 1-2 cycles preferred.
- Some travel required.
The Deputy Midwest Finance Director position will require travel, which could be up to 15% of the time. The starting salary for the Deputy Midwest Finance Director position is $61,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
This is a full-time, exempt position that may require work on weekends, and has an end date in November of 2024. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
