The Compliance Manager reports to the Director of Compliance and is responsible for managing fundraising compliance in accordance with Federal Election Commission regulations and DNC policies. Candidates with a strong working knowledge of NGP, LexisNexis and other research tools preferred. Attention to detail, time management skills and strong writing skills are essential requirements for this position.


  • Assist with FEC reports for multiple committees;
  • Monitor donor limits in accordance with the FEC across multiple committees and joint fundraisers;
  • Monitor donations from organizations such as PACs, partnerships, sole proprietorships, committees and other entities in keeping with FEC regulations;
  • Prepare deposits;
  • Process in-kind donations;
  • Process refunds;
  • Compliance related correspondence including best efforts and safe harbor letters;
  • Comprehensive vetting using LexisNexis and other searchable databases; and,
  • Ability to conduct independent research and provide succinct reports;
  • Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.


  • Knowledge of campaign finance and FEC fundraising and reporting regulations;
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work cohesively with other staff members;
  • Strong time management skills;
  • Ability to communicate concisely across multiple medium; and,
  • Comfort with and ability to learn new software or databases.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience;
  • Commitment to the Democratic National Committee and its core values;
  • Previous experience in campaign finance
  • 1-2 years of campaign experience is strongly preferred; and,
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.

This is a full-time, exempt position that may require work on weekends, and has an end date of November 15, 2024. The starting salary for the Compliance Manager position is $70,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
