The Finance Events Coordinator supports the Finance Events Team (including the Events Director and Events Deputy Director) in executing both virtual and in-person major donor fundraising events.
This position is based in Washington, DC. The Finance Events Coordinator will manage vendor research and outreach, budget and expense management, administrative projects, and assist with site visits and walkthroughs as appropriate. The Finance Events Coordinator will work closely with the Events Director and Deputy Director to maintain event processes and timelines.
Experience in political advance is preferred, but not required.

In this position you will (Responsibilities/Duties):

  • Support the Finance Events Director and Finance Deputy Events Director with project management.
  • Coordinate event site visits with White House Advance, Secret Service, and venues.
  • Ensure all event documents are completed by regional and coalition finance teams.
  • Coordinate with the Finance Events Associate on vendor research, vetting, and contract and NDA submissions.
  • Manage the Contracts and Budget spreadsheet.
  • Provide on-site support for in-person events.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.

  • 1-3 years of related experience.
  • Detail oriented with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Travel required.

The Finance Events Coordinator position will require travel, which could be up to 50% of the time. The starting salary for the Finance Events Coordinator position is $54,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position, which means you will be eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 in a given workweek, and has an end date of November 15, 2024. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
