From August 19-22, 2024, the City of Chicago will be the epicenter of a historic event-the Democratic National Convention. Democrats from all over the country will gather to nominate President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for re-election. The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is assembling a diverse team to aid in planning for daytime activities at the McCormick Place Convention Center.
During Convention week, McCormick Place, the Convention Center, will be the home to most daytime activities. The Democratic National Committee (DNC) organizes DNC member meetings, panels, training, and many other events on each day of the Convention.
The DNC is offering a unique opportunity to be the administrative and operations associate for this significant event. This role is from June 30, 2024 through August 31, 2024 and requires the ideal candidate to focus on the precise details of tasks and projects, to work under pressure in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment, and to have outstanding interpersonal skills. The role also offers the chance to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment and to be part of a team that will organize a wide range of high-profile events. This opportunity requires the person to be available nights, weekends and holidays. Event management experience is helpful. Thorough knowledge of Google Suite is needed.
The Administrative Support Associate will require travel, which could be more than 50% of the time.
The compensation for this role is $10,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
