The Mobilization Team is looking for a Donor Cultivation Assistant who will help a team of professionals who are committed to supporting our grassroots donors. They will be one of the first points of contact for supporters of the DNC. They will communicate with donors across multiple channels, help oversee maintenance of strong donor database hygiene, as well as assist in various aspects of the grassroots fundraising program at the DNC including providing support for the donor cultivation team. The ideal candidate will be a thoughtful and thorough communicator who truly believes that building strong relationships with supporters is integral to the success of the Democratic Party.
Responsibilities
- Help sort and process incoming correspondence to DNC HQ.
- Track and report out on incoming correspondence from online and offline touchpoints.
- Respond to incoming requests from supporters to ensure their inquiries are answered and any membership or donation questions are addressed in a timely manner.
- Write scripts, templates, and other materials related to supporter outreach.
- Provide donor outreach to build trust and loyalty with DNC supporters through peer-to-peer text messages, calls, emails, and thank you notes.
- Assist in maintaining the hygiene of the DNC donor database.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ideal candidate will be a team player, fast learner, and self-starter; you are willing to work hard to get the job done.
- You should be incredibly organized; able to prioritize multiple projects moving at different speeds in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills; you should have an eagle-eye for typos and errors.
- You’re patient when communicating with supporters and have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) databases and peer-to-peer texting platforms is a plus.
- You should be willing and able to relocate to the DC area.
The starting salary for the Donor Cultivation Assistant position is $52,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position, which means you will be eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 in a given workweek, and has an end date of November 15, 2024.
