The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is seeking a Regional Distributed Organizer to join the newly relaunched National Distributed Organizing Program. This team plays a critical role in building and sustaining grassroots momentum ahead of pivotal elections in 2025 and 2026 by mobilizing volunteers to hold Republicans accountable and engage voters early, consistently, and authentically.
This program is designed to activate immediate volunteer energy, build volunteer leadership pipelines, and develop integrated organizing infrastructure across digital and offline spaces. As a Regional Distributed Organizer, you’ll be responsible for recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers and volunteer leaders within assigned geographic regions. You will play a key role in developing scalable engagement tactics, supporting accountability efforts, and implementing integrated voter contact (IVC) strategies that help shape political narratives and build power in communities across the country.
The ideal candidate is an experienced organizer with strong people and project management skills, who thrives in fast-paced, adaptive environments, and is passionate about developing leaders and running distributed programs that combine traditional organizing with digital strategy.
The Regional Distributed Organizer will report to the Distributed Organizing Director.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, onboard, and train new volunteers and volunteer leaders through events, one-on-ones, and training sessions.
  • Help build and maintain supporter onboarding pipelines across regions, ensuring volunteer infrastructure is always ready to scale.
  • Identify high-potential supporters and guide them through structured leadership development pathways to organize their network, host events, and conduct voter outreach.
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for volunteers and leaders in your region, conducting regular check-ins, facilitating community engagement online, and supporting their growth.
  • Implement strategic voter contact efforts and accountability campaigns using a multi-modal approach (calls, texts, events, visibility actions, digital pressure, etc.).
  • Develop and deliver high-quality training content in collaboration to support volunteers and volunteer leaders in learning organizing skills and moving through the program pipeline
  • Monitor and report on regional activity and insights to iterate and develop programs to meet the needs of your region.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Distributed Organizing Director.

Qualifications

  • 2+ cycles of experience in field, digital, or distributed organizing (or equivalent community organizing experience).
  • Demonstrated experience developing volunteer leadership and managing remote volunteer teams.
  • Proficient in voter contact and digital organizing tools, including but not limited to: Scale to Win (dialer & SMS), ActionKit, Discord, Google Workspace, Slack or related tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and build relationships virtually.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated; able to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexible and responsive to a rapidly changing political landscape.
  • Commitment to Democratic values, equity, inclusion, and community-centered organizing.
The starting salary for the Regional Distributed Organizer position is $65,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
