The South Finance Coordinator position will assist the South finance team with planning and executing a fundraising plan for major donors in the Southern Region of the United States including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, as well as Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
This position is based in Washington, DC. The South Finance Coordinator will manage regional scheduling, database management, and assist with donor prospecting and outreach as appropriate. The South Finance Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining their own donor portfolio and calendaring surrogate events. The South Finance Coordinator will report to the South Finance Director and assist the South Finance Director on a daily basis.

In this position you will (Responsibilities/Duties):

  • Update daily and weekly reports.
  • Facilitate vetting processes for donors, surrogates, and event venues.
  • Manage regional donor databases and lists.
  • Oversee regional call time and email blasts.
  • Develop meeting agendas.
  • Manage a regional schedule and trip calendar for meetings and events with internal and external principals.
  • Write briefing materials for internal and external meetings.
  • Travel and staff surrogates at DNC meetings and events as needed.
  • Support the South Finance Director, South Finance Associate, and South Finance Consultant with administrative and writing tasks.
  • Coordinate with internal DNC departments on behalf of the regional team.
  • Assist with donor prospecting, outreach, and maintenance as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • 1-2 years of previous committee, government, nonprofit, or campaign finance/fundraising experience.
  • Working knowledge of NGP database.

Salary: The starting salary for the South Finance Coordinator position is $61,800, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Travel: The South Finance Coordinator position will require travel, which could be up to 15% of the time.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position, which means you will be eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 in a given workweek. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
