Spanish-Language Writer/Editor

Free Press

Free Press

Marketing & Communications
United States
Posted on Apr 11, 2026

Free Press and Free Press Action work to amplify the voices of people and communities in the crucial decisions that shape our media. We believe that positive social change, racial justice and meaningful engagement in public life require equitable access to technology, diverse and independent ownership of media platforms, and journalism that holds leaders accountable and tells people what’s actually happening in their communities. We work at the intersection of media and technology to strengthen our democracy.

Free Press seeks an experienced Spanish-language writer, adapter, and editor — not simply a translator — who can bring cultural and linguistic fluency to our communications. This consultant will produce Spanish-language versions of Free Press resources and press materials that are accurate, accessible, and consistent with our voice and values. The work requires someone who understands how to write for U.S. Spanish-speaking audiences in general, accessible language.

The consultant will report directly to our Senior Producer and Strategist and will work collaboratively with the marketing and communications team.
