Leadership & STAY FLY Programs Coordinator - Position Summary

Reporting to the San Mateo County Law and STAY FLY Programs Manager, the Programs Coordinator is responsible for direct service and supporting all functions of running effective and efficient programs. This position will be responsible for coordinating all program activities for the Leadership and STAY FLY programs, managing data entry, and helping to deliver FLY’s STAY FLY curriculum for transition-aged youth (18-25). The ideal candidate is passionate about social and racial justice, youth development and youth voice, and inspiring youth and young adult adults to transform the systems that impact them. They will demonstrate the ability to coordinate and manage collaborative projects effectively. The ideal candidate will have a connection to the San Mateo County community and will be familiar with local community based organizations. They will have strong organizational skills and be confident in supporting youth leadership development and facilitating discussion-based curriculum with Transition-Aged Youth (TAY).

Position Responsibilities

Coordinate Materials and Logistics for Events & Workshops

  • Organize and coordinate logistics for program workshops, field trips, and events, including purchasing supplies and snacks, reserving rooms and event venues, preparing and transporting materials, and ordering meals

  • In collaboration with STAY Lead Case Manager, support weekly workshops for STAY FLY, including reviewing and adapting curriculum to TAY requests/interests

  • Provide ongoing support to program teams to ensure they have the materials they need

  • Manually track all aspects of event execution in planning spreadsheets

  • Create event flyers prior to program events and trainings

  • Maintain and update all necessary information into FLY’s ETO database, Google Drive, and Dropbox folders, ensuring accuracy (program enrollment, program attendance, youth paperwork, evaluation surveys, etc.)

  • Manage and organize youth/young adult liability waivers, medical binders, and ensure paperwork is up to date and physically with the team at each event—in case of youth emergencies

  • Transport youth to and from designated program events and activities, as needed

  • Enter program reimbursements into our budget tracking systems, submit to accounting, and provide updates to the Programs Manager on spending trends

Compensation & Benefits

This position is a full-time/part-time non-exempt/exempt role at a rate of [$/hourly/annually] with differential pay options based on an advanced degree and, when applicable to the role, speaking another language. Our Total Rewards Package also includes the following:
