Location: Remote
Reports to: Digital Content Manager

Overtime Status: Non-Exempt
Level: 1
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Digital Content Manager, the Digital Media Coordinator is responsible for executing the day-to-day platform operations that bring Galvanize USA and Galvanize Action content to life across social media, SMS, and web channels. This role is the operational backbone of our content distribution — handling content drafting, platform scheduling, quality assurance, community engagement, and analytics reporting across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok for multiple audience-focused brands.
This is an entry level role for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and genuinely interested in how social media moves people. You'll write copy, load content, respond to audiences, catch errors before they go live, and help us understand what's working through weekly reporting. You'll work from established playbooks and brand guidelines within a growing organization.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Content Project Management and Publishing
- Load content to Sprout Social and schedule across platforms, ensuring correct formatting, links, captions, and compliance with brand standards
- Manage occasional rapid-response content posting when needed, flagging for approval before publication
- Ensure all content adheres to c3/c4 entity compliance requirements, flagging any questions for the Digital Content Manager
- Perform quality assurance on content before publication — checking copy for accuracy, brand consistency, links, captions, and technical specifications; flag issues for revision
- Draft social media copy for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok across all brands, writing in brand voice from established guidelines and editorial briefs
Analytics and Reporting
- Pull weekly performance data from sources like Mobile Commons, Blueconic, Google Analytics, Sprout Social and organize into a custom report
- Track key metrics including reach, engagement, audience growth, and content performance across brands and platforms
- Flag notable trends or underperforming content for the Digital Content Manager's review
- Provide data to support content strategy decisions
SMS and Web Content Management
- Load and target SMS content to our SMS platform, working from copy written by content leadership
- Load and schedule content to WordPress and manage audience targeting for web-based content
- Ensure SMS and web content is compliant and reaches intended audiences
Community Engagement and Monitoring
- Monitor comments and messages across social channels, responding to audience inquiries using established response guidance and playbooks
- Flag engagement issues, concerning comments, or audience questions that require escalation to the Digital Content Manager
- Track positive engagement and notable audience interactions to inform reporting
- Use social listening platforms to track trends and help inform what content gets developed
- All employees of Hopewell Fund are required to complete timesheets every two weeks
- Perform other duties as needed
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the US. We are not able to sponsor visas at this time.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Fluency with social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) as both a user and strategist
- Comfort learning new tools and platforms quickly (training provided on Sprout Social and WordPress)
- Strong written communication skills — ability to write clear, on-brand copy from brief guidance, with exceptional spelling, grammar and general proofreading knowledge.
- Project and time management — ability to manage multiple loading and scheduling tasks simultaneously
- Comfort with data and spreadsheets — able to pull reports, organize data, and spot trends
- Ability to work from playbooks and guidance rather than making independent judgment calls
- Responsiveness and reliability — ability to meet publishing deadlines and communicate proactively about delays or issues
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy across multiple brands and platforms
- Genuine interest in civic engagement, democracy, and the cultural forces shaping moderate women's worldview
Valued and Non-Essential Characteristics
- Experience with Sprout Social or similar social media management platforms
