The Director of Analytics is responsible for following and advancing analytic standards across many direct response fundraising programs and channels, including direct mail, digital, radio, and television. This role delivers analytics solutions and communicates findings as actionable insights that support strategic decisions.

The Director serves as a client-facing leader for the Analytics team within RKD’s Marketing Science practice and plays a key role in channel and program measurement, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Analytics Leadership

  • Provide enterprise-level, analytic leadership for accurate, actionable solutions that drive measurable marketing and fundraising results for nonprofit organizations.
  • Translate complex analytic findings into clear and concise strategic direction that informs client decision-making and long-term program growth.
  • Follow existing analytic frameworks and processes, methodologies, and best practices across channels and client types, documenting the process for others to follow.
  • Provide technical and statistical mentorship and strategic guidance to other analysts.

Client & New Business Support

  • Own multiple client accounts with accountability for accurate deliverables, client satisfaction, and growth.
  • Serve as a senior advisor to clients, guiding analytically-led strategy with internal and client stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to up-sell, cross-sell, and expand analytics-led solutions through performance insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Partner with client services and sales leadership to support new business development, pitches, and expansion opportunities.
  • Clearly articulate analytic capabilities, strategic value, and innovation in client and prospect settings.
  • QC all outputs for accuracy before release, and participate in a peer review process to ensure accurate team outputs to elevate the quality of analytic work across the team.

Thought Leadership & Communication

  • Create and deliver executive-level presentations and narratives that tell a clear and compelling analytic story with actionable recommendations.
  • Serve as an internal and external thought leader, contributing to POV development, innovation discussions, and best-practice advancement.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Lead or oversee complex data or research initiatives as needed.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required in mathematics, statistics, economics, data science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in analytics, quantitative marketing, or data-driven strategy roles.
  • Advanced expertise in SQL required, with Snowflake experience a plus; ability to translate data objectives into code and process across multiple systems.
  • 5+ years of experience in direct marketing and/or nonprofit fundraising analytics strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience owning client and internal team relationships, with impactful outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and data visualization skills, with a demonstrated ability to distill large quantities of insights into actionable highlights.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical judgment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.

Location: Remote with occasional travel

Pay Range expected for the position: $120k - $130k annually.

The position level and compensation for this role will be determined based on the market location, experience, job skills, and qualifications of the candidate.
