Responsibilities
As a Data Engineer at INTRVL, your role will encompass the following responsibilities:
- Data Ingestion:
- Develop data ingestion pipelines from various sources, including APIs, cloud storage, and S3 buckets, into Google BigQuery.
- Ensure data quality and reliability, handling data transformation and validation.
- Database Design:
- Design and maintain relational database schemas that facilitate efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Optimize database performance and scalability to meet evolving requirements.
- External API Integration:
- Export data to external APIs, leveraging your expertise in creating seamless data connections.
- Utilize APIs to execute a series of tak
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable data-driven decision-making.
- GCP Expertise:
- Utilize your in-depth knowledge of the Google Cloud Platform to build, deploy, and manage data solutions within the GCP ecosystem.
- Marketing Analytics and Political Data:
- Apply your experience in marketing analytics settings to extract insights and support data-driven marketing campaigns.
- Familiarity with demand-side platforms (DSPs) and data onboarders like LiveRamp and Neustar is a plus.
- Work in a political data setting, handling voter files from sources such as Catalist, TargetSmart, and Civis to support political campaigns and advocacy.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on the Google Cloud Platform ecosystem.
- Demonstrated expertise in building data pipelines and database design.
- Experience working with external APIs and data export.
- Familiarity with marketing analytics, demand-side platforms, and data onboarders.
- Exposure to political data, specifically working with voter files.
- A passionate commitment to working on mission-driven initiatives related to voting rights, reproductive rights, climate change legislation, and gun control.
