Position: Israel Program Associate / Senior Associate
Reports to: Director of Israel Operations
Location: Hybrid - Tel Aviv, Israel

Position
J Street’s Israel office is seeking a program associate / senior associate, who shares a commitment to J Street's mission. The person in this position will assist the Israel Team in developing J Street's educational programs and outreach, including organizing and executing J Street missions to the region and executing the Israel Team’s work plan at large.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Planning and staffing J Street missions to Israel and the Palestinian territory (logistics, budget management, booking, preparatory material, programming etc.)
- Organizing visits for individuals traveling to the region, including drafting itineraries and providing resources and connections.
- Content development and logistics for programming for J Street audiences, including speaker tours, webinars, and J Street national conferences and summits.
- Administrative support including data management in Salesforce, translations, composing emails and letters for general use.
- Assisting the Israel Executive Director in advancing outreach strategy to Israeli political officials, including drafting emails, scheduling and documenting meetings, liaising with parliamentary assistants, and following up on action items.
Required and Desired Skills and Characteristics
- A minimum of two years of relevant work experience
- Strong writing and speaking skills in English
- Proficiency in Hebrew, fluency preferred
- Highly responsible, able to work independently and attentive to details
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team player
- Background on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict
- Familiarity with American politics and Israeli politics
- Willingness to travel abroad, once or twice a year, and to put in extended hours around big events, such as delegations
- Comfort with data management
- A strong commitment to J Street’s mission is required, including:
- Support for a secure, Jewish, and democratic future for Israel, and
- Advocating an active US leadership role to help resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict diplomatically
Additional desired qualifications include:
- Experience in event management and/or educational tourism, hospitality
- Fluency in Hebrew; high level reading, writing, and speaking skills
- Familiarity and/or work experience in Israeli politics

Compensation and Hours
The salary for this full-time position is 10,000-12,000 NIS / month. Benefits such as paid vacation and sick leave, paid time off on national and Jewish holidays, and pension are in accordance with Israeli law. This position is expected to be in-person at least 2 days a week.
