Senior Account Executive, Direct Mail

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Account Executive is responsible for the senior-level strategic management of direct marketing fundraising programs for non-profit clients. The Senior Account Executive acts as the primary point-of-contact for client accounts and guides day-to-day program and team management to deliver direct marketing fundraising programs.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analytics:
- Prepare and interpret reports/analysis that evaluate client direct marketing fundraising programs
- Select donor segments of client database
- Work with list brokers/modeling vendors to develop donor and prospect lists
- Ensure agency reporting is in alignment with client bookkeeping
- Understand and present analytical findings
Client Service:
- Develop annual plans and year-long strategy in coordination with the Vice President
- Provide strategic leadership of client programs
- Oversee implementation of client’s annual plan
- Provide guidance on production management and creative process for projects
- Prepare, finalize and present strategy documents
- Ability to manage a high-functioning team
- Develop concepts and messaging for direct mail projects
- Draft copy and/or work with copywriters to draft program content
- Problem-solve and ability to take accountability for errors
- Travel to meet with clients as necessary
- Ability to mentor other team members
- Enhance company’s brand through networking and industry opportunities
- Participate in new business proposals and presentations when requested
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly operates a computer and other office equipment and remains in a stationary position, often sitting (or standing if at a standing desk) for prolonged periods; communication is via email, chat, phone, video, and/or in-person with others inside and outside the agency in order to exchange information; repetitive motions may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers in order to operate computer equipment, copy machines, and printers. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:
- Minimum years of experience required: 9
- In the following areas: fundraising, advocacy, nonprofit, or similar
- Required experience & knowledge:
- Direct marketing, especially fundraising and/or advocacy
- Experience in strategic and production management of direct marketing projects
- Knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

ABOUT COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

- A starting salary range of between $82,500 - $90,000, with performance evaluations and review of salary at least annually
