Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create press releases, op-eds, and other materials to expand communication related to Mi Familia en Acción’s and Mi Familia Vota’s mission in Arizona..
- Work alongside team members to build the statewide communications plans for the organizations.
- Maintain strong relationships with Spanish- and English-language media in Phoenix and Tucson.
- Create social media content with a strong emphasis on video, and advise the team on the best strategies to expand messaging.
- Manage membership lists and collaborate with team members to create digital newsletters.
- Develop content and work with the Communications team to ensure brand and message consistency.
- Track, report, and analyze all metrics and modify plans based on learnings.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in external communications and media relations.
- Experience creating materials, messaging, talking points, and social media content.
- Experience working in campaign settings or advocacy-related work.
- Experience creating and editing quality video content.
- Solid digital copywriting skills (ability to write for email, web, and social media).
- Experience developing and executing social media engagement strategies across various platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) and experience using various social media aggregators and reporting tools.
- Experience in planning and executing paid digital media advertising campaigns (search, social media, retargeting, list chaperoning, mobile ads, etc.), and the ability to be creative and responsive in a fast-paced political and digital environment.

SKILLS:
- Exceptional communication skills, including strong writing skills, in both English and Spanish.

- Ability to prioritize and effectively manage tasks in a multi-campaign and multi-program work environment;
- Strong organizational skills;
