ABOUT THE ROLE

The Donor Community Advisor is a core member of MVP's fundraising team responsible for our mid-level fundraising program ($1,000-9,999 in annual giving), including the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of a portfolio of 300+ donor households giving between $5,000 and $9,999 annually, and collaborating on data-driven and relational communications strategies to reach 5,000+ households giving $1,000 or more annually. This is a new role contributing to a newly defined segment of our donor base work, combining traditional fundraising, donor organizing, donor education, and campaign-driven outreach.

This position reports to the Donor Team Chief of Staff and works closely with colleagues across Donor Advising (major gifts), Donor Organizing, and Communications.

Portfolio Management

Donor Education & Donor Organizing

  • Partner with the Donor Organizing team to inspire and mobilize donors, helping them activate their networks in support of grassroots movements and aligned campaigns that are building long-term power.

  • Organize and participate in donor events, conferences, and other gatherings to deepen engagement and expand MVP’s community of supporters.

Strategy, Analytics, & Reporting

  • Contribute to donor segmentation analysis and performance reporting.

  • Track and analyze portfolio metrics — including renewal rates, upgrade rates, and lapsed donor reactivation — to inform ongoing strategy.

  • Ensure all donor interactions are accurately logged in Salesforce with attention to data integrity and confidentiality.

  • Support a culture of testing and iteration across the mid-level program.
