BACKGROUND:

The National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA) is the leading national voice for dignity and fairness for domestic workers in the United States. Founded in 2007, NDWA works for the respect, recognition, and inclusion in labor protections of domestic and home care workers across the country. NDWA is winning improved working conditions while building a powerfulmovement rooted in the human rights, dignity and equality of domestic workers, home care workers, immigrant women, and Black women.

NDWA was founded in 2007 by domestic workers and organizers from around the country. Our national alliance has grown from this founding group of 13 organizations to now more than 70 affiliate organizations, and local chapters developed by NDWA. To date, the Alliance comprises more than 250,000 nannies, housekeepers, and home care workers in all 50 states.

Position Summary:

NDWA is seeking a skilled IT Support Engineer, Digital Organizing to join our Technology team to support online outreach, digital engagement and membership growth with workers and members while working closely with our organizers and staff to achieve strategic goals in the field using online channels.

PRIMARY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Help Set up digital campaigns

  • Support development and rollout of remote programming, including webinars, Facebook lives, online meetings and others of 2-100 people

  • Support content creation for online channels, including text, email, website pages, webinar scripts, etc.

  • Respond to member and worker online support queries

  • Run data analysis and support data exporting and migration

  • 1-2 years of professional or volunteer experience in field or online organizing, political campaigns or social media management

  • Experience with peer to peer texting like ThruText or Hustle as well as Mobile Commons or other broadcast text software;

  • Experience with Action Network, Salesforce, or other email CRM;

  • Comfortable working independently with online campaign tools: including the ability to use queries to segment emails to include and exclude key audiences and set up A/B experiments;

  • Meticulous attention to details;

  • Organized, emotionally intelligent and collaborative teammate, happy working in a fast-moving remote-work team;

  • Experience with, and curiosity about, trying new technologies and testing to learn and improve our work;

  • Alignment with NDWA’s vision and values, including an understanding of issues facing low-wage workers, women, immigrant communities, and other communities of color.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish speaker, with the ability to write in both languages;

  • Experience developing content and strategy for digital ads, including ad execution

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to provide excellent client service.

  • Ability to apply diagnostic techniques for problem troubleshooting.

  • Ability to apply information technology best practices, including security (this includes information security or physical security, such as asset management) to problem resolution and troubleshooting.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
