Position Summary
Reporting to the Lead, for Training and Development, the Training and Development Specialist plays a critical role in developing and implementing innovative learning solutions to support Nava's workforce's professional growth and skill enhancement. This position will collaborate closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to support the development and delivery of effective training programs that align with our organizational goals. Your responsibilities will include:
- Support the needs assessment as necessary to identify learning gaps and training requirements across Nava
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather input and insights to inform the design of training solutions.
- Develop learning objectives, instructional strategies, assessments, and content outlines for training programs
- Create a variety of learning materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training materials, job aids, and multimedia resources
- Design visually appealing and user-friendly learning materials that enhance learning engagement and retention
- Provide support to subject matter experts in delivering effective training sessions, including guidance on content delivery and facilitation skills
- Assist in developing facilitator guides, training scripts, and presentation materials to ensure consistency and quality in training delivery
- Oversee the administration and maintenance of the Learning Management Systems, including course catalog management, user enrollment, and reporting
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and adherence to data privacy standards
- Support assessment strategies and evaluation criteria to measure the effectiveness of training program and learning outcomes
- Analyze evaluation data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for training program enhancement
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices and advancement in instructional design and learning technologies
- Participate in professional development activities and collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and expertise
Required skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Psychology, Human Resources Management, Education, or related field
- Proven experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and training delivery
- Proficiency in instructional design methodologies, and learning theories.
- Strong management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Desired skills
- Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, Education, or a related field.
- Certification in instructional design or e-learning development is a plus
Other requirements

Legal authorization to work in the United States
Ability to meet any other requirements for government contracts for which candidates are hired
