ABOUT THE ROLE
At New Story, we pioneer solutions to end the global housing crisis by empowering families to become land and homeowners in thriving communities. We believe innovative approaches are crucial to achieving this mission at scale, and we are committed to tackling the systemic barriers inherent in affordable housing and financial inclusion for underserved populations.
We’re looking for someone who thrives on bringing structure to complexity. The Impact Associate Project manager plays a key role in making this possible by managing and coordinating the day-to-day implementation of core activities in the field and ensuring plans translate into real-world outcomes.
Working closely with internal teams and local partners, you’ll keep field activities on track by making sure plans turn into action, timelines remain on track, teams are aligned, and families are informed and supported throughout the Housing & Community Journey. Done, on time and with care.
This role is ideal for someone who loves execution. You’re organized, proactive and energized by being close to the action. If you're a project manager at heart who enjoys solving problems in real time, creating structure in fast-moving environments, and wants to see tangible impact from your work, we want to hear from you!
WHERE YOU'LL FOCUS
Project Management & Execution
Own the day-to-day coordination of field activities such as family workshops, events, community onboarding, and ongoing follow-up.
Create and maintain project calendars, timelines, and task trackers to support smooth, timely execution.
Coordinate logistics for field activities, including locations, materials, attendance, and team alignment.
Followup with internal and external stakeholders to ensure action items are completed and blockers are removed
Family Communication & Engagement
Oversee the implementation of family communication and engagement strategies across all project strategies in coordination with Marcomms and local field teams. Ensure community feedback is captured, synthesized, and shared with relevant teams to improve decision-making.
Documentation & Strategy Support
Assist in drafting internal documents that summarize project progress, identify bottlenecks, and propose improvements.
Contribute to the creation of local project plans or implementation playbooks based on field learnings.
Help systematize practices and adapt project tools and materials to local needs.
Support small process improvements that increase clarity and speed in execution
Monitoring & Internal Reporting
Track progress toward project goals and flag potential risks or delays.
Maintain basic dashboards and reports for internal visibility and decision-making.
Collaborate with field team leads to document learnings, success stories, and data from community-level activities.
WHO YOU ARE
2-3 years of experience in project coordination, community programs, or similar operational roles.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail.
Clear communicator, capable of managing direct contact with community members and internal teams.
Comfortable using systems to track progress and data.
Skilled at writing short reports or summaries that translate field information into useful insights.
Collaborative, solutions-oriented, and motivated by impact.
Fluent in Spanish and English.
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW
New Story is in a period of strategic growth and innovation. As we explore new housing models and community strategies, many of our frameworks and processes are still evolving — and we see that as a strength. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, embraces iteration, and is excited to help shape emerging ideas into actionable strategies.
We’re looking for someone who can bring structure and initiative while staying flexible. Your responsibilities may shift over time as we learn more from the field and design new projects. If you’re energized by the opportunity to co-create solutions, adapt in real time, and grow alongside a mission-driven team, we’d love to work with you
