About the Role
The Director of Creator Programming will lead the creator program and strengthen Priorities USA’s organic digital presence. This role will integrate creator and organic strategies with our broader digital program, focusing on platforms where political advertising is limited. The Director will track online trends, guide narrative development, and ensure alignment with organizational priorities. Key responsibilities include managing vendor and creator relationships, executing large-scale social media campaigns, and advising partner organizations on content strategy. This position also involves representing Priorities USA in the wider progressive movement through events and collaborative forums.
This is a remote position. The role includes occasional travel, and working hours are 10AM–6PM ET regardless of location. We are not currently registered to do business in all locations. In particular, we are not currently accepting applicants based in Florida, Missouri, and Texas due to regulatory considerations.
Responsibilities
- Creator Program Leadership:
- Develop and manage a creator strategy, timeline, and budget.
- Oversee content production and ensure alignment with goals and messaging.
Serve as the main contact for vendors and creators. - Manage content development for social media, including video and graphics.
- Track digital trends relevant to target audiences and use them to inform content and press strategies.
- Strategic Alignment & Integrated Digital Strategy:
- Contribute to organizational strategy and ensure alignment with Priorities USA’s mission.
- Support press, donor, and partner communications with consistent messaging.
- Collaborate with digital communications to integrate creator, organic, and paid media into a unified strategy.
- Partnership Coordination:
- Act as the lead contact for creator programs with partner organizations.
- Coordinate with internal teams and partners on program design and execution.
- Research Integration:
- Work with the polling team to ensure polling and insights are actionable and accessible.
- Help design data-informed content for creator campaigns.
- Team Development:
- Recruit, hire, and manage staff to execute large-scale programs.
- Represent Priorities at events, conferences, and coalition meetings.
- Support and help train fellows as part of the Priorities fellowship program.
- Adapt responsibilities as needed as programs evolve.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience working within a social media or content creation team on a campaign or with a political organization. 2 years working specifically within an integrated digital program.
- Proven ability to create meaningful and engaging content for different social media platforms - Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, Facebook, etc.
- Proven ability to turn a concept into compelling content and incorporate brand voice and personality.
- A desire to work collaboratively and learn from media consultants, pollsters, analysts, other teammates, etc.
- Experience managing a programmatic budget.
- A detailed and curious understanding of the social media landscape, including the desire to stay up to date on changes to policies both in the broader media space and political space.
- Strong ability to collaborate with diverse teams — you’ll work cross-functionally with colleagues from across Priorities USA, each bringing unique experiences and perspectives. Success in this role will depend on clear, respectful, and effective communication to foster alignment and shared goals.
- Strong problem solving skills and interpersonal skills; ability to respond to crises calmly and with poise.
Compensation and Benefits
The budget for this position is $140,000-$160,000 commensurate with experience.

Application Process Information
Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Applications should include a resume and cover letter. The hiring process for selected candidates will consist of a phone screen, at-home exercise (compensated), and a set of final round interviews. Most processes will occur over 3-4 weeks with a target start date in late August.
