The Project:

The primary objective of the “Nayi Soch Ki Sawaari” project is to enable early shifts in the perception of the informal trucking ecosystem towards Zero Emission Trucks (ZETs) and foster their adoption through a comprehensive mass outreach communications initiative through hyper local events spread across 13 states and 55 districts within those districts.

The Role:

Timeline: 10 months [March 2025 - December 2025] - Extension on the basis of project requirements.

Nature of Employment: Full-time consultant (40 hours a week - contractual)

Remuneration: 80,000/- per month. Travel expenses will be borne by the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Event Planning and Execution:

Plan, organise, and oversee execution of on-ground activations aimed at raising awareness about e-trucks. This will include a total of 200 offline sessions across 13 states in a span of 12 months.Coordinate with local partners, and internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of events.Engage with the informal trucking community through various channels as decided by the team during the planning processManage permissions and obtain any necessary permits required for the eventConduct risk assessment about event planning and execution and create contingency plans with the Project LeadFacilitate dialogue to address concerns and highlight the benefits of transitioning to e-trucks during the on-ground activations.Work in coordination with our digital team to supplement offline activations with online engagement strategies

Support Partnership Development:

Support project team in identifying and establishing core partnerships with local organizations (Like fleet owners, associations and CSOs working in trucking space) that can provide execution support (event space, infra support etc) in the shortlisted locations. Total 2-3 partnerships he has to manage. Participate in brainstorms and strategy discussions on campaign objectives and ecosystem mapping

Support development of Engagement Strategy:

Support the team in the development of the engagement strategy for truck drivers and the on-ground trucking ecosystem.Identify potential stakeholders for collaboration during the execution of the activities that can amplify the reach of the activities eg. content dissemination, mobilisation, media engagement etc.Gather and share insights from the potential stakeholders and shareback with the team

Support Monitoring and Evaluation:

Maintain and report success metrics of local events and outreach effortsCreate event reports including quantitative and qualitative parameters to evaluate the event's effectiveness.

Key Deliverables:

Attained at least 80% offline eventsDay to day planning with a local partner for offline events.( Sharing event location day before, Timing of the event, any logistic support needed etc.)Ensure the quality of events and risk assessment (Numbers of Participants, Safe and hygienic places etc.)Take the notes of events and share them back with team meetings (Events observations and questions from the audiences etc.)Conduct the survey tool or facilitate the local partners for the same.Take the Pictures and videos bites of key stakeholders and permission to use them through a video.Ensure the 80 individuals testimonials in offline modeMaintain the online data state-wise (Pictures, videos, Testimonials, observations, and survey responses, etc.)Ensure weekly meetings with local partners, event reports (attendance sheet, Question from audience, etc.), and monthly reports.Carrying the first aid kit for safety and health.Identified key stakeholders apart from our primary stakeholders. Maintain the data of key stakeholders for future outreach

Qualifications and Requirements

Proficient knowledge of Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam. Candidates should be based in Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad or nearby these cities. This role will require a lot of travel, hence the candidate is willing to travel. Travel arrangements will be borne by the organization. On field experience working with communities and organising training sessions. Knowledge of EV sector and clean energy transition.

Selection Process

  • Candidates shortlisted in the first round will be invited to participate in a time-bound written assignment to assess their skills.
  • Candidates shortlisted in the second round will be invited to participate in 1-2 interviews before an offer is extended to the selected candidate.
