About You:
You are an experienced digital marketer with deep knowledge of the political space. You’re likely either someone with a deep well of digital marketing experience in the for profit space with a passion for progressive politics or someone who’s led on digital efforts for a progressive political campaign who’s looking to make the transition to a company. While we don’t necessarily expect successful applicants to have all of the below experiences, you likely have had relevant experience with a number of the bullets below:
- Deep experience with digital marketing, likely for either a progressive candidate or a for profit company. You’re experienced with email marketing tools like EveryAction, BSD, MailChimp, or ActionKit, text marketing tools like MobileCommons or Tatango, and comfortable placing ads via ads platforms like Adwords, Facebook, and Twitter.
- A passion for progressive politics and an understanding of the important role organizing and fundraising plays to help our clients win.
- A natural storyteller. You have a knack for finding the anecdote, statistic, and turn of phrase to effectively and memorably communicate a vision in a variety of different mediums. You understand the differences in communication styles, e.g., between a blog post, an ad, and a tweet.
- A visual thinker. While you’re (probably) not a designer, you’re comfortable working with designers to make sure Scale to Win marketing materials align with our overall brand and help draw in new sales prospects.
- A systems thinker. You can think through a sales funnel and how multiple marketing channels (both direct and indirect) play into it. You have great ideas about optimizing that funnel to ensure as many high quality leads are given to the STW Sales Team as possible.
- A strong project manager. You can keep track of multiple moving projects and coordinate contractors, consultants, and team members working on those projects to lead to overall project success.
- Experience utilizing a CRM (we use HubSpot) to track sales leads, segment universes, and structure marketing automation flows.
- A creative problem solver and self starter. You’re someone who can disagree without being disagreeable. You’re comfortable coming up with new ideas and have the follow through to make those new ideas happen.
- A strong progressive. We work with Democratic and progressive candidates and causes. We are strongly committed to advancing a more just future for all.
