Marketing and Sales Enablement Manager

About Scale to Win:

Scale to Win is a fully remote progressive, political tech company founded in 2020 by organizing leaders from the Biden/Harris, Bernie 2020, Warren 2020, Bernie 2016, and Hillary for America Presidential campaigns. Product offerings include Scale to Win Spoke, a P2P texting platform, the Scale to Win Dialer, a predictive calling tool, and our new, “All in one” shortcode and longcode texting tool, Scale to Win Text. Scale to Win offers turnkey “We Text” services, where our team builds text campaigns, sends messages, collects data, and ensures compliance on behalf of clients.

We work with more than 3,000 Democratic and progressive campaigns and organizations driving change. Current and past clients include the Biden-Harris campaign, the Democratic National Committee, the Working Families Party, AFL-CIO, UFCW, MoveOn, and For Our Future.

Scale to Win is hiring a Marketing and Sales Enablement Manager to promote Scale to Win products and services and increase the number of interested, qualified leads for the Scale to Win Sales team.

About the role:

  • Create and implement marketing campaigns from start to finish. You’ll manage the process from idea pitch to calendaring to campaign creation to monitoring to reporting.
  • Create content for specific channels, including email marketing, organic social (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn), the Scale to Win blog, advertising efforts, paid sponsorships, text marketing, direct mail, and more.
  • Design and implement inbound marketing campaigns to nurture sales prospects, owning the top funnel of our sales pipeline, including the use of triggered emails and automatic followup to help move prospects through our sales pipeline.
  • Prepare sales enablement materials and internal resources for the sales team and external materials for prospective clients that include one pagers, product comparison summaries, major client pitch decks, and more to help make the case for Scale to Win products.
  • Track budget and report out on key marketing campaign metrics to help judge efficacy of different tactics and advertising campaigns.

Reports to the Major Clients Director on the Sales and Marketing Team.

Note, position is fully remote.

About You:

You are an experienced digital marketer with deep knowledge of the political space. You’re likely either someone with a deep well of digital marketing experience in the for profit space with a passion for progressive politics or someone who’s led on digital efforts for a progressive political campaign who’s looking to make the transition to a company. While we don’t necessarily expect successful applicants to have all of the below experiences, you likely have had relevant experience with a number of the bullets below:

  • Deep experience with digital marketing, likely for either a progressive candidate or a for profit company. Plus points if you have experience with email marketing tools like EveryAction, BSD, MailChimp, or ActionKit, text marketing tools like MobileCommons or Tatango, or comfortable placing ads via ads platforms like Adwords, Facebook, and Twitter.
  • A passion for progressive politics and an understanding of the important role organizing and fundraising plays to help our clients win.
  • A natural storyteller. You have a knack for finding the anecdote, statistic, and turn of phrase to effectively and memorably communicate a vision in a variety of different mediums. You understand the differences in communication styles, e.g., between a blog post, an ad, and a tweet.
  • A visual thinker. While you’re (probably) not a designer, you’re comfortable working with designers to make sure Scale to Win marketing materials align with our overall brand and help draw in new sales prospects.
  • A systems thinker. You can think through a sales funnel and how multiple marketing channels (both direct and indirect) play into it. You have great ideas about optimizing that funnel to ensure as many high quality leads are given to the STW Sales Team as possible.
  • A strong project manager. You can keep track of multiple moving projects and coordinate contractors, consultants, and team members working on those projects to lead to overall project success.
  • A creative problem solver and self starter. You’re someone who can disagree without being disagreeable. You’re comfortable coming up with new ideas and have the follow through to make those new ideas happen.
  • Willingness to work some weekends and evenings, especially as we approach peak election times and experience peak volumes with our clients.
  • A strong progressive. We work with Democratic and progressive candidates and causes. We are strongly committed to advancing a more just future for all.

The offer

  • $80,000 yearly salary (base). As part of our commitment to equity, salaries are non-negotiable: everyone in the same role receives the same salary.
  • On-year, discretionary election bonuses. These are typically paid out monthly and, for this role in 2024, range from $2,100 to $6,000 per month.
  • Ten company holidays, two floating holidays, and a weeklong holiday break at the end of the year.
  • Generous paid vacation (up to 24 days a year with time accrued monthly); paid sick leave; paid short-term medical, caregiver, bereavement, and other personal leave.
  • 16 weeks of paid parental leave and an additional 4 weeks of part-time, fully-paid flex time. This is available to all new parents of any gender, including adoptive parents.
  • Fully-paid premium, $0 deductible, top-notch medical/dental/vision insurance for you and your dependents.
  • Additional benefits include remote work stipend and access to a company computer.
  • Location: Remote
