Position Description/Job Summary/Overview:
Somos is seeking a highly motivated Development Project Manager to support the Development Director with the engagement of existing and new organizational donors. The Development Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the Development department’s engagement with current donors – drafting, managing, and tracking donor communications, providing support at in-person and remote events, providing support for grant proposals and reporting, and other duties as assigned. They will achieve this by communicating extensively with other Somos staff and consultants and by tracking donor engagement carefully. Additionally, the Development Project Manager, in consultation with the Development Director and other senior staff and consultants, will help to research and organize fundraising opportunities for Somos Votantes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Interdepartmental Collaboration & Communication
- Attend weekly department and organizational meetings, with the focus on sharing updates on ongoing projects while collaborating with team members on various projects.
- Work collaboratively with Somos existing staff and consultants on areas of focus work including: grants, project implementation, data collection and media relations
- As needed collaborate with Program Managers on regional fundraising initiatives and donor engagement activities.
- Project Management
- Project manage Development and Fundraising projects and other related cross-functional projects as needed.
- Under the direction of the Development Director, conduct grant prospect research and analyze program data to identify and assess new grant opportunities.
- Analyze potential grant funding eligibility criteria and alignment with Somos programs and priorities.
- Assist in the management and execution of the application and the reporting process for grant work
- Support in the development of final grant reports, including collecting grant data, metrics, images, and other grant collateral materials.
- Donor Communication drafting and tracking, including the assistance of drafting regular donor outreach materials and the tracking of donor outreach communications
- Draft and design funder focused content for social media accounts to expand our donor communications
- Analysis & reporting of projects, grants and communications completed by the organization
- Support the executing of in-person and virtual donor briefings (including slide administration, zoom management, and overall event management).
- Process & System Management
- Coordination of grant platform tracking and unique grant requirements
- Support in the tracking of follow-up to donors and key partners
- Maintain current processes and systems to ensure regular, comprehensive tracking and reporting of pledged giving status.
- Participate in team creation of goals, work plans, and team benchmarks for success.
- Identifying opportunities for system and process improvement, including in regular check ins with the Development Director
- Other responsibilities and duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Demonstrated commitment to the organization's mission and values.
- At least one year of experience grant work, fundraising, or nonprofit development, or similar transferable experience including project management experience.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal and can support the creation and development of written products.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with internal/external teams.
- Proficient in basic computer applications for record-keeping.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and timelines.
- Has experience working in Google Suite (Google Sheets, Google Slides, ect) or Microsoft Suite (Excel, Power Point, etc)
- Spanish language proficiency is highly desirable but not required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead project teams, while also being a team player.
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required.

Compensation
This is a Full time cycle position that runs through December 2026. The range of pay is $60,000 - $75,000 and is commensurate with experience.
Benefits: Somos Votantes provides a generous paid time off policy with paid vacation, paid sick leave, personal days, paid Federal holidays, and paid organizational time off from at least Dec 23 to January 1st yearly. Somos Votantes provides staff cell phone reimbursement, and up to 80% of employee healthcare reimbursed.
