Storefront Political Media is looking for driven, gritty, and politically-motivated interns to join our team and help work on some of the largest and most publicized races in California.

Our paid internship program will provide smart and ambitious college students the opportunity to assist and learn about some of the most exciting campaigns. We are looking for interns who will assist our political and public affairs departments with:

• Researching legislation, policy, campaign finance rules, media/advertising trends, opposition research and other issues affecting clients and campaigns
• Drafting media communications, including social media posts, media advisories, informational memos and creating press lists
• Data entry, organization and analysis
• Proofreading creative copy and advertisements
• Helping with media placements and pulling metrics and analytics

Freshman may apply, however; we prefer interns to have completed one-year of college. Recent graduates and graduate level students are also encouraged to apply. Political Science, Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Data Science and/or Business majors preferred.

Preferred skills:

• Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative
• Data-driven and analytical
• Strong written and verbal communication
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Google Sheets and the ability to synthesize large data files into client-ready reports (pivot tables, charts, and excel calculations are key)
• Passionate about public policy, the media industry and emerging digital trends
• Interest in working with political campaigns, labor organizations and corporate clients
• Team-player who thrives in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $18.07 per hour. This internship is part time, up to 30 hours/week.

Remote; Bay Area is preferred but not required!
