The Role

The Senior Coordinator, Labor Relations is integral to labor negotiations. The Senior Coordinator supports negotiations by gathering information in response to requests for information, analyzing data in preparation for negotiation sessions, and preparing proposals for negotiations as directed by the management team. The Senior Coordinator ensures comprehensive and detailed documentation of all negotiation sessions, materials, and agreements. The Senior Coordinator partners closely with internal and external legal counsel and reports directly to the Senior Director, Talent.

This is a temporary role. The duration of the role will be contingent upon the timeline for contract negotiations and is not anticipated to extend beyond January 2025.

What You Will Do

The Senior Coordinator, Labor Relations will:

  • Maintain and, upon demand, produce detailed records of all correspondence and proposals between parties.
  • Ensure compliance with all timelines and applicable requirements as outlined in the collective bargaining agreement (CBA).
  • Provide input to assist in the development and deployment of Tides’ labor relations proposals and effective negotiations.
  • Interact with a wide range of people in a professional, proactive and courteous manner.
  • Partner with internal and external legal counsel to draft relevant correspondence.
  • Identify and analyze relevant data to inform proposals and produce comprehensive reports for the bargaining team.
  • Interface with administrative staff to ensure timely scheduling of bargaining sessions.
  • Draft regular updates for senior leaders at the direction of management bargaining team.
  • Provide ad hoc analytical and reporting support to Talent Management team.

What You Will Bring

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and navigate complex situations with tact and professionalism.
  • Ability to anticipate problems, problem-solve, and know when to escalate issues promptly.
  • Excellent organization skills, detail-oriented and ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to work independently and partner with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Education & Experience

  • 5 years of similar labor relations and reporting experience.

Compensation

Tides is committed to providing a competitive compensation package. We value pay equity and account for factors such as your location within the U.S., your skills and your relevant experience, and we will not ask for your salary history. Your starting salary will fall into one of three ranges, depending on your location:

  • National market: $72,000 - $90,000 (Most U.S. states)
  • Moderate market: $78,600 - 98,300 (Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington D.C. metro areas)
  • High market: $88,000 - $108,000 (New York City & San Francisco metro areas)
