United We Dream is the largest immigrant youth-led organization in the nation. Their powerful nonpartisan network is made up of over 100,000 immigrant youth and allies and 55 affiliate organizations in 26 states. They organize and advocate for the dignity and fair treatment of immigrant youth and families, regardless of immigration status. They seek to address the inequities and obstacles faced by immigrant youth and believe that by empowering immigrant youth, they can advance the cause of the entire community—justice for all immigrants. They’re driven by and accountable to their thousands of members across the country who make up their sustainable and robust grassroots network. They believe they can build power by organizing at the local, regional, and national levels and aim to provide tools and resources to support their leaders and member organizations, as well as create meaningful alliances with other advocacy organizations. In addition to timely political campaigns, like their current They Can’t Wait campaign, [which seeks to address the most pressing and most painful issues facing the undocumented community: deportations and family separation], United We Dream also runs programs to advocate for access to higher education: stop the deportations of undocumented youth and their parents; and strengthen alliances and support for DREAMers at the intersection of queer and immigrant rights.
