Experience / Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in web development
• Extensive experience with front-end development using the following technologies: HTML5, SCSS (or equivalent preprocessor)/CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, and React.js
• Extensive experience with WordPress plugin and theme development using the following technologies: PHP, MySQL, JS/TS, Gutenberg/React, WP REST API, and more.
• Experience with DevOps using the following, or equivalent, technologies: Web Servers, DNS, CDNs, Security and Performance Management
• Experience utilizing Continuous Integrations (CI) pipelines, involving the following technologies: Composer, Webpack, NPM/Node.js, Lando, Docker, Github Actions, and more
• Working knowledge of code style tools, such as PHPCS, Eslint, Prettier, and others
• Experience with responsive development and progressive enhancement
• Strong working knowledge of Figma and Adobe Illustrator
• Strong understanding of accessibility, modern web design principles, user experience, information architecture, and social media
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to convey complex ideas with brevity to both technical and non-technical audiences

Bonus Points

• Production experience with one or more TypeScript/JavaScript full stack frameworks, including but not limited to Next.js, Remix, Gatsby, etc. (strong preference towards TypeScript)
• Experience working directly with clients in an agency setting

• Interest in progressive politics and social change
• Experience with CRMs such as Blue State Digital, NGP VAN, ActionKit, Action Network, etc
