Responsibilities
Design & Production (60%)
- Partners with clients to understand needs, and develops a clear concept and design vision for the project.
- Leads on the creation of design deliverables on interactive projects and digital product design projects from start to finish.
- Produces mockups, supplementary components, style tiles, developer handoff materials, and style guide documentation for client websites with a high level of craft and attention to detail.
- Clearly and confidently presents work to executives and larger groups that ties key aspects and rationale into a single narrative.
- Works in partnership with Project Management and Engineering teams to oversee the final execution and delivery of digital deliverables, conduct quality assurance testing, and ensure that they support all user-facing needs and goals.
Strategy & User Experience (30%)
- Along with Strategists and Creative Directors, designs clear user experiences by creating sitemaps, wireframes, and prototypes that are informed by user experience best practices, brand and content strategy, and audience needs.
- Collaborates with the Engineering team to create user-centered experiences that are achievable, accessible, and scalable.
- Occasionally contributes to strategy deliverables including workshops, briefs, and user engagement strategies.
Secondary Responsibilities (10%)
- Seeks opportunities to streamline and document our internal design process.
- Contributes to case studies and Wide Eye social media.
- Exemplifies user-centric design culture, values, and principles for the broader Wide Eye team and pushes the company forward in overall trends in technology and design.
Experience / Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years experience in interactive and digital design
- Strategic thinker as it relates to digital content strategy, websites, digital communications, and user experiences
- Solid understanding of nonprofit organizations, current events, and campaigns
- Experience working in a design agency or client service environment
- Demonstrated ability to turn data and insights into unique, creative solutions
- Experience collaborating directly with skilled engineers to build websites and/or digital products
- Expert-level knowledge of graphic design principles, scaling design systems, layout, responsive design, and UI best practices
- Expert-level knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to perform in a fast paced and high-impact work environment
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Bonus Points
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Experience with WordPress and CMS driven websites
